Biden is not yet sure whether it will be possible to “reach an understanding” on this issue.

US President Joe Biden will discuss cybersecurity with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during the Geneva summit but does not know if he will be able to reach an understanding on this topic.

“Who knows. This will be the subject of our discussion,” Biden said, answering a journalist’s question on Wednesday about whether Washington can come to an understanding with Moscow on the topic of cyberattacks.

Recall that earlier Biden announced his intention to discuss cybersecurity issues during the upcoming summit of leaders against the backdrop of a hacker attack on the meat production company JBS.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his American counterpart Joe Biden on June 16 in Geneva. For the Russian leader, the trip to Switzerland will be the first foreign visit in 2021 after a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
