According to Bloomberg sources, the US authorities plan to “more closely monitor transfers” of funds represented in the cryptocurrency, which companies, organizations and departments make as payments to cybercriminals. Hackers can demand funds for recovering stolen information or restoring access to computer systems.
Earlier, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the United States administration will announce additional steps this week to counter cyberattacks using ransomware.
